JENKINTOWN, PA—Manor College (9-4) senior guard Tyray Cooper (Baltimore, MD/Woodlawn) led both teams with 20 points, 10 rebounds (season-high), seven assists, and five steals (season-high) as the eighth-ranked USCAA Division I Blue Jays defeated the Parick Henry Sentinels (4-4) for its 50th USCAA win, 97-61, at the Gymnasium.
This was the Blue Jays' first game after the College's Holiday Break.
Patrick Henry led 9-4 with 16:40 left in the first half on sophomore forward Adrian Van Hofwegen's layup. Manor answered with a 22-4 run between 15:57 and 10:56 remaining (a 5:01 stretch) and took a 26-13 lead on sophomore center Nissir Cook's (Philadelphia, PA/Philadelphia Academy Charter) free throws. This run also included scoring 14 straight points between 15:57 and 13:04 left (a 2:53 stretch). The Blue Jays took the lead for good, 10-9, with 15:34 remaining on junior guard Manny Roach's (Medford, NJ/Life Center Academy) three-point basket. Manor also took its first double-digit lead., 24-13, with 11:04 left sophomore guard Ihsan Beyah's (Philadelphia, PA/Archbishop Wood) layup. The Sentinels got as close as 26-17 with 9:04 remaining on senior forward Andrew Penrod's jump shot. Senior forward Cheikh Diagne's (Philadelphia, PA/Northeast) three-point basket gave Manor a 29-17 lead. The Blue Jays maintained a double-digit lead for the rest of the game. This also began an 11-3 run between 8:03 and 5:51 remaining (a 2:12 stretch) and took a 37-20 lead, one of its largest first-half leads, on senior forward Bryce Nwobu's (Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) free throws. Manor also took a 35-18 run with 6:10 remaining on Cooper's reverse layup. Patrick Henry got twice within 11 points. Freshman guard Sam Lim's three-point basket with 2:04 left got the Sentinels within 45-34. Van Hofwegen's layup got Patrick Henry within 47-36 with 0:22.8 remaining. Manor led 49-36 at halftime. Cooper and Van Hofwegen each led their respective teams with 10 points each.
At halftime, Roach was recognized at mid-court by Head Coach Leo Mahon for scoring 1,000th career point on December 17, 2025 at Central Pennsylvania College at the Enola Middle School Gymnasium, in Enola, Pennsylvania. Roach was later joined in this halftime ceremony by his family, friends, relatives and his teammates (see article).
Manor pulled away from Patrick Henry in the second half. The Blue Jays opened the second half, going on a 11-4 run between 19:53 and 14:15 remaining (a 5:38 stretch) and opened up its first 20-point lead of the second half, 60-40 on Cooper's layup. Patrick Henry got within 60-42 on Van Hofwegen's layup. Nwobu's layup with 14:22 left gave Manor its second 20-point lead, 62-42, with 14:22 remaining. The Blue Jays maintained a 20-point plus lead for the rest of the contest. The Blue Jays took a 25-point lead, 69-44, on Roach's three-point basket with 12:11 left. Manor got its first 30-point lead, 88-58, Beyah's layup with 4:37 remaining. The Blue Jays took its largest lead, 97-61, on Cooper's layup with 0:42.8 left which was also the final score. Manor allowed six points in the final 6:43 of the game. Manor outscored Patrick Henry in the second half, 48-26 in the second half. This is the lowest number of points that the Blue Jays have allowed in the second half and the first time the Blue Jays allowed fewer than 30 points in the second half. Manor has allowed fewer than 30 points in either half four times this season. This is also the largest second-half margin for Manor this season. The Blue Jays outscored the Central Pennsylvania College Knights, 56-35, in the second half on December 17, 2025. Roach led both teams with 12 second-half points.
Manor's win was its 50th in the USCAA since its 2021-2022 debut (see notes below). The Blue Jays victory was its fifth win overall in its last six games. This was also Manor's tenth straight home win, dating back to the 2024-2025 season (see also notes below). The 36-point win was its third overall (first at home) 30-point plus margin of victory this season. The last time the Blue Jays won by more than 30 points at home was when they defeated the Sentinels, 115-55, in its regular season and home opener on November 11, 2023, which also was its largest home margin victory since 2021-2022.
Defensively, the 61 points allowed versus the Sentinels is the lowest allowed by the Blue Jays this season overall and at home. They allowed 63 at the USCAA Division II Williamson College of the Trades Mechanics on November 15, 2025 in Media, Pennsylvania. This the lowest number of points allowed by Manor since they allowed 62 at Patrick Henry on February 22, 2025 in Purcellville, Virginia. The Blue Jays previously allowed this few points at home since they allowed 55 points versus USCAA Division II Christendom College Crusaders on February 1, 2025. The fewest points Manor has allowed at home since the 2021-2022 season was 51 versus Williamson on January 26, 2023.
Statistical Leaders: In addition to Cooper. Roach scored 19 points. Diagne added 14 points and Nwobu contributed 12 points for Manor. Cook came off the bench and led both benches with 12 points, seven rebounds, and a career-best four blocked shots.
Van Hofwegen led Patrick Henry with 15 points and two steals. Senior guard Chris Ziemnick paced the Sentinels with six rebounds. Lim and senior forward Nate Semlick led Patrick Henry with three assists each. Senior Rob Canfield paced the Patrick Henry bench with 11 points and five rebounds.

Countdown to 1,203: Roach has 1,047 career points in 52 games. He needs 156 points to pass Aaron Brown for the most career points by a Blue Jay. Brown scored 1,202 in 44 games between the 2004-2005 and 2005-2006 seasons when Manor was competing in the Eastern Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference (EPCC).
Manor among the USCAA Division I Winningest Men's Basketball Teams (Since 2021-2022): Manor became the sixth USCAA Division I Men's Basketball program to win 50 games since their 2021-2022 debut. Bryant and Stratton College-Buffalo (89), The Apprentice School (89), Bryant and Stratton College-Syracuse (71), Paul Quinn College (65), and Bryant and Stratton College-Albany (64) have more wins through January 17. The Blue Jays' 0.558 win-loss percentage through January 17 is fifth-best among USCAA Division I Men's Basketball teams since the beginning of the 2021-2022 season. Buffalo (0.679), The Apprentice School (0.679), Syracuse (0.634), and Albany (0.604) have a higher winning percentage since the start of 2021-2022. Manor is one of seven USCAA Division I schools with a 0.500 or better winning percentage since 2021-2022.
