HACKENSACK, NJ—Fairleigh Dickinson University (2-7) senior center Cyril Martynov scored 13 points and led both teams with 12 assists as the Knights defeated the USCAA Division I Manor College Blue Jays (4-2), 86-38, at Bogota Savings Bank Center.
Fairleigh Dickinson led for the entire game. The Knights scored the first nine points. Manor got as close as 11-6 with 14:04 left in the first half on sophomore center Nissir Cook's (Philadelphia, PA/Philadelphia Academy Charter) layup. Martynov's layup with 12:32 remaining gave Fairleigh Dickinson its first double-digit lead, 17-6. The Knights would maintain a double-digit lead for the rest of the game. Fairleigh Dickinson led at halftime, 44-21.
The Knights outscored the Blue Jays in the second half, 42-17.
Statistical Leaders: Junior guard Manny Roach (Medford, NJ/Life Center Academy) led Manor with 12 points and five rebounds. Senior forward Bryce Nwobu (Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) paced both teams with four steals.
Graduate student Joey Niesman led both teams with 16 points. Martynov paced both teams with nine rebounds. Junior guard Noah Melson led both benches with 14 points.
