JENKINTOWN, PA—Manor College Women's Flag Football debuted versus the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region XIX Harrisburg Area Community College Hawks at home.

This game took place next to the Mother of Perpetual Help Hall on the Manor campus

Manor was the first to go on offense.  The Blue Jays' first play was a completed pass from sophomore quarterback Emma Sykes (Philadelphia, PA/Arts Academy at Benjamin Rush High School) to senior wide receiver Lauren Brown (Philadelphia, PA/St. Hubert).  Manor's first first down on a third-down completed pass from Sykes to freshman wide receiver Diamond Whittaker (Philadelphia, PA/Sankofa Freedom Academy Charter School).  However, two plays later Harrisburg Area defender Zainab Mushtaq intercepted a pass and ended the Blue Jays' first possession.

The Blue Jay defense stopped the Hawks on downs in their initial possession. Manor's first tackle was by freshman safety Faith Darlington (Philadelphia, PA Sankofa Freedom Academy Charter School) when she stopped quarterback Ella Cain on a second down run.  Sophomore linebacker Tori Simmons (Cheltenham, PA/Cheltenham) defended Manor's first pass on a Cain third down attempt.

However, on Manor's second possession, Mushtaq intercepted another pass and returned it for a Hawks touchdown.  Manor stopped Harrisburg short of the goal line when sophomore linebacker Noelyz Garcia (Philadelphia, PA/Walter B. Saul) stopped Cain during a run on a one-point conversion attempt.

Harrisburg led 6-0 after the first quarter.

The Hawks scored on their first second quarter possession after stopping the Blue Jays on downs.  Cain completed five out of her eight passes during this possession.  Following the Blue Jays' first time out.  Cain ran in for the touchdown on third and goal after the two-minute warning with 1:56 left. Harrisburg Area failed to convert on another one-point point after attempt when Cain's completed pass to wide receiver Nieko Harris was stopped short of the end zone.

Manor punted the ball back to Harrisburg Area on a three-play possession.  The Hawks needed three plays to score a touchdown on their second straight possession, on a Cain third-down pass to wide receiver Emily Zarwee with 14 seconds left.  Harrisburg Area converted the one-point PAT on a Cain pass to Harris.

The Blue Jays scored their only touchdown on the final first-half possession.  Darlington ran the Blue Jays' first rushing play to around midfield and the Blue Jays called their second time out with four seconds remaining.  Darlington ran the ball again and scored from around midfield with no time remaining on the clock.  Sykes completed the one-point PAT to Brown.

Harrisburg Area led 19-7 at halftime.

The Hawks had most of the ball during the third quarter.  They ran 14 plays (12 pass, three rushing).  The Manor defense stopped Harrisburg Area on fourth-and-goal when Brown defended a Cain pass attempt to wide receiver Reese Volterman in the end zone.

Manor took the ball over and ran a pass play to finish a scoreless third quarter for both teams.

The Blue Jays ran 14 more plays (11 pass and three rushing).  They got three first downs, converted two-out-of-three third down conversions, and one on fourth down on a Darlington run.  However, Manor was stopped on fourth-and-goal when Harrisburg Area defender Hayden Frey stopped Simmons short of the end zone following a Sykes completed pass with about four minutes left in the game.

Harrisburg Area ran out the clock in the scoreless fourth quarter.

The Hawks won 19-7.

The game took about 90 minutes and there were approximately 35 people watching the Manor's Women's Flag Football debut.
